We were blessed today with two in-kind donations that will be used in distributions this week. The National Association of University Women-Richmond Branch brought cute holiday-themed boxes of non-perishables and The Bless Cookies Community Network contributed around 60 boxes of food and toys for the students. We recently celebrated our volunteers at River City Roll and a wonderful time was had by all! We presented five awards at the event: The Green Thumb Award, Community Partner Award, Educator's Choice Award, Cheryl Guedri Philanthropy Award, and Volunteer of the Year. We are so grateful to all our volunteers and the impactful services you provide for our community. This year's nominees and recipients are:

The @boxwoodgardenclub braved the cold wind to install fresh native plants in our playground garden. New plants included Hardy Hibiscus, Milkweed for the Monarchs, and Golden Ragwort for flowers and shade. Peter Paul CEO Corey Taylor delivered the homily this past Sunday at historic @stphilipsepiscopalrva for their "Homecoming" service, celebrating 164 years of serving the community in Northside Richmond. The dynamic history of this congregation began in 1861 as a mission of St James's Episcopal Church. The founding members were either freemen and women or enslaved peoples.
