Serving as a board member of the Carmax Foundation, Tyrone Payton was introduced to Peter Paul in 2018, when he, and 200 CarMax associates, constructed Peter Paul’s KaBOOM! playground in just 6 hours!  What once was an empty lot, now stands a beautiful playground that offers our students and community members a safe place to play with their friends and neighbors. Tyrone now serves as Peter Paul’s Board of Directors Vice Chair.

Since 2019, Tyrone has been a member of Peter Paul’s Board of Directors and currently serves as Vice Chair. His journey to Peter Paul, like so many others, began through a volunteer experience and visit to our Coleman Center.
